Children’s Religious Exploration
2016 OWL (Our Whole Lives) Class
Middle school students from UUCR and other churches in the community complete the OWL – Our Whole Lives – human sexuality program. The focus of this program is to dismantle stereotypes and assumptions, build self-acceptance and self-esteem, foster healthy relationships, and improve decision making in young teens.
At UUCR we affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every family. Our religious exploration programs give children a moral compass grounded in love. We nurture truth-seeking, spirituality, and values that will continue to shape and support our children as they grow.
Our Unitarian Universalist community reinforces the values for today’s world that parents teach at home. Our programs help children explore the beliefs and customs of world religions, our Christian and Jewish heritage, the ideals and principles that shape Unitarian Universalism, and how to speak up for what is just and right. We encourage children to embrace diversity and to cherish the world they live in.
We help families celebrate the awe and wonder of life. Come celebrate with us!
Children’s Religious Exploration programs are offered Sunday mornings during worship services September through May.
UUCR has a comprehensive Child Safety Policy, which is available for parents and guardians to review at any time.
